My care provider often asked a question and then interrupted me after about a sentence into my response to interject what he thought the issue was and make recommendations. I tried to push through and finish my answer, but was generally not successful. Example: I mentioned an issue, and he interrupted that it was probably seasonal allergies. I said that I don't have seasonal allergies in the winter, but he still made recommendations based on this assumption. In my post-appointment summary, there is now a note that I have seasonal allergies! After a while I just gave the shortest possible responses to his questions, even though I recognize that won't necessarily give a full picture of my current health or my concerns. I have experienced this same behavior during my past 2-3 annual exams and am now in the difficult process of trying to find a different PCP.

I have recommended Dr. Hock several times to others. He is an excellent diagnostician, very evidence based and current with medical knowledge. He also has an excellent bedside manner.
