My care provider, Catherine Virostko, served as my primary midwife during a successful pregnancy following a second trimester miscarriage, as well as a critical liaison during postpartum psychosis. I can't imagine that a midwife could provide more exemplary service than Kate did through these experiences. She went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that I felt safe and comfortable through two wildly overwhelming periods (i.e., pregnancy after miscarriage, postpartum psychosis), and served as a steady, calming anchor for me through these experiences. My gratitude for her dedication and compassion brings tears to my eyes. If I could give her a score above 5 (perhaps 6, outstanding), I would give her that score instead. Vanderbilt is beyond fortunate to have Kate on their team--she is truly a gifted midwife.

My visit exceeded my expectations. Catherine took her time getting to know me and listened to what I had to say. You can tell she truly cares about her patients.

She was fabulous! I cannot sing her praises enough. I transferred from Vanderbilt Women's Health and it has been a much better experience. My original OB did not listen to any of my concerns or bother to discuss anything that was in my chart. The midwives took the time to listen and explain everything and I truly feel like they are on my side. Literally night and day
