Dr. Munoz is a very capable cardiologist whom I trust but seemed hurried and didn't address my heart rhythm primary issue. He manually felt my pulse and thought I was in normal sinus rhythm with some PVC's. I asked for an EKG and it showed new AFIB. Doctor then changed my blood thinner from Plavix to Xaralto. I mentioned that I had temporarily suspended my atorvastatin to see if it was affecting muscle pain and weakness. He prescribed a different statin potentially with fewer side effects.

We came to the conclusion that my issue was not a big problem at all and I am not taking any medication. My blood pressure has increased, I am no longer lightheaded, I do not need medication, and it is my option to return for a visit if I feel it is necessary. Dr. Munoz said I should check my blood pressure on occasion during the course of a day. He is a very nice doctor and was comfortable having a discussion with him. He expressed concern about my high blood pressure at the office but that is quite a contrast to my blood pressure at home.
