Dr. Cottrell is my primary care physician and I started with him in that capacity when he first came to Vanderbilt. He was the first primary care physician I ever had at Vanderbilt. I hope he never leaves because I depend on him and he has never let me down. I appreciate him very much!

Dr Cottrell is very sharp. He's great about explaining health issues, cause, and what I can do to improve them. He takes time and goes the extra mile. I have tremendous confidence in him.

Dr. Cottrell's nurses and medical assistants are helpful, and go above and beyond to serve patients. One nurse walked 10 minutes one way to get Vaccines Dr. Cottrell recommended. Dr. Cottrell professionally considers preventative measures for managing my treatment. He is knowledgeable of research that may be beneficial for my health, and makes recommendations based on research.

Dr.Cottrell was very attentive to me as I talked tearfully. He seemed to be observant of my body language as I was speaking and made contact with me that showed me he was listening as he diagnosed me through my emotional state of being at the time I guess
